 pirical study of social cognition and interaction. In this Lunch and Learn
  event\, Bavo Van Kerrebroeck (��������) will explore the role of
  VR as a research tool\, highlighting its capability to induce body illusi
 ons\, manipulate visual perspective\, and create a sense of “social presen
 ce”: the illusory feeling of being\, and socially interacting\, inside a v
 irtual environment. These features make VR a powerful tool for bridging ec
 ological validity and experimental control in empirical music research. Mo
 reover\, the ability of VR to create compelling body illusions offers uniq
 ue opportunities for studying embodied cognition\, allowing researchers to
  examine how sensory and motor processes contribute to action and percepti
 on in immersive\, controlled settings. Dr. Van Kerrebroeck will demonstrat
 e his use of VR for an experiment on musical groove and motion sickness an
