Canadian research is part of an extensive global climate change study that has found billions of the world鈥檚 poorest people are at risk.
The results, published Thursday in the journal Science, raise troubling questions about who will be able to adapt in a shifting, less dependable world.

Approximately a year after the legalization of marijuana in Canada last fall, the new 海角社区 Research Centre for Cannabis is poised to examine the role that legal cannabis will be playing in our society on many fronts. The trans-disciplinary centre, a partnership between six 海角社区 faculties (Medicine, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Law, Science, Education, and Management) and the 海角社区 Health Centre Research Institute (RI-MUHC), has already initiated a number of research projects in fundamental and applied science.

The Macdonald Distinguished Alumni Award was created by the Macdonald Branch of the 海角社区 Alumni Association to recognize distinguished graduates for their outstanding professional contributions, scholarly distinction and/or service to the community at large. The first Awards were presented at Homecoming 2006. In 2009, the Macdonald Distinguished Young Alumni Award was introduced, which recognizes the achievements and contributions of our younger alumni.
