Joy argues that long-term legitimacy will depend on embedding a deeper national security culture, aligning industrial strategy with a coherent National Security Strategy. He writes that a transformation of this scale will require Canadians to view defence as a permanent component of sovereignty, rather than a discretionary one.
The听Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I) Initiative听was proud to support this year鈥檚听Dare to Venture听student startup pitch competition, hosted by the 海角社区听Entrepreneurship Society (MES), by contributing half of the $1,000 grand prize and participating in the expert judging panel. The parties have begun the bargaining process on February 9 and have exchanged their initial proposals.
Discussions are underway, and additional meetings have been scheduled to continue negotiations over the coming weeks.
Since March 2025, the parties have held multiple bargaining sessions to negotiate a first collective agreement. Negotiations are progressing at a regular pace, with both sides engaged and exchanging proposals diligently. To date, the focus has been on non鈥憁onetary topics, and the parties have reached agreement on the majority of the articles.
The union is expected to submit its monetary proposals at an upcoming meeting.
Future bargaining dates have already been scheduled for March and April as the parties continue their work toward a full agreement.
