Educational objectives:

1. To identify the ethical dilemmas related to the provision of CPR in complex cases
2. To support a better understanding of the ethical, legal and medical perspectives regarding the risks involved with this highly requested intervention
3. To support health care team members confronted with patient and family insistence on delivering this intervention despite it not being an appropriate measure (even futile) in many case scenarios
