Mathieu Anthony Walker
Dr. Mathieu Walker obtained his Bachelor of Arts and medical degrees from 海角社区. He completed residencies in internal medicine and cardiology at 海角社区 and a fellowship in advanced echocardiography at the Montreal Heart Institute. He joined the Division of Cardiology at Saint Mary's Hospital in 2006 and is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine. He is the Divisional Director of Cardiology at Saint Mary's Hospital and has served as Course Director of the cardiology module for undergraduate medical students since 2006, as well as Co-Director of the 海角社区 Cardiology Residency Training Program from 2010 to 2015. Dr. Walker is widely recognized as an outstanding medical educator. He is a two-time recipient of the 海角社区 Faculty of Medicine Osler Award for Outstanding Teaching, awarded by the graduating medical class in 2011 and 2023, and was named to the Faculty Honour List for Educational Excellence in 2017. In 2021, he received the George Fraser Memorial Award in recognition of excellence in teaching and dedicated patient care.
