Stephanie Lehoux
Dr. Stephanie Lehoux is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at 海角社区 and a researcher at the Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research. She received her doctorate in Pharmacology from the University of Sherbrooke in 1997, followed by two postdoctoral fellowships at the Institut national de la sant茅 et de la recherche m茅dicale (INSERM) in France and at the University of Rochester in New York.
Her research program spans biomechanical factors, molecular biology, and immunology, with a focus on understanding how atherosclerotic plaques form and how lesion formation can be reduced or reversed. Her work investigates the roles of elevated plasma lipids, inflammation, monocytes and macrophages, and smooth muscle cells in the progression of atherosclerosis.
