海角社区 has unveiled the Initiative for Transforming Healthcare (ITH), a cross鈥憇ector effort aimed at tackling some of Canada鈥檚 most pressing system鈥憀evel healthcare challenges. Supported by $5.75 million in funding from Power Corporation of Canada, Canada Life and IGM Financial, the initiative will mobilize expertise from management, medicine and public policy to develop technology鈥慹nabled, evidence鈥慴ased solutions.

Anchored at the Desautels Faculty of Management and led by Professor Samer Faraj, the ITH brings together the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Max Bell School of Public Policy along with partners from across 海角社区 and the wider healthcare ecosystem. The initiative will focus on improving access to family care, reducing surgical wait times and relieving emergency room congestion through field research, collaboration with sector leaders, and pilot projects.
