Lewtas Centre for Experiential Learning gives students hands-on opportunities
Some of our most important learning takes place outside of the classroom, and 海角社区 Desautels has made it a priority for students to have access to experiential learning opportunities.聽The聽Lewtas聽Office of Experiential Learning launched in 2021, thanks to the generosity of alum 顿辞苍听尝别飞迟补蝉听(叠颁辞尘鈥�75).
One of its main聽objectives聽is to ensure that Desautels students have access to experiential learning opportunities, which helps give them a leg up in the job market. 鈥淭here鈥檚 a strong desire from employers to see that students have done something tangible, hands-on, in their journey,鈥� says Genevi猫ve Bassellier, Vice-Dean of Programs and an Associate Professor of Information Systems at 海角社区 Desautels.
鈥淭he faculty mixes quite well the importance of learning about concepts and frameworks to shape students鈥� thinking, with how to apply that in a real context.鈥澛�
