Biography: 

Vera B茅k茅s, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, 海角社区. She studied clinical psychology and philosophy at ELTE University in Budapest, and received her clinical psychologist training, as well as her PhD at University of P茅cs, Hungary. She completed postdoctoral fellowships at 海角社区 and Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Montr茅al. Her research focuses on the psychotherapy process and the therapeutic relationship in various settings, including online interventions, as well as using digital technology and artificial intelligence specifically for mental health interventions. Dr. B茅k茅s also has an interest in trauma and PTSD, as well as historical and transgenerational trauma transmission processes.
Dr. B茅k茅s held associate professor and guest professor positions at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, New York, University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and ELTE University in Budapest. She was trained in psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral therapies and has gained clinical and supervision experience at various psychiatric hospitals and clinics both in Hungary and Canada. She is a licensed psychologist in Qu茅bec and maintains a private practice in Montr茅al.
