Enriched Educational Opportunities (EEOs) for Undergraduate Students

Enriched Educational Opportunities (EEOs) are high-quality off-campus mobility or other experiential opportunities, and are officially recognized by your Faculty. They foster self-development and help students transition successfully to the workplace or graduate studies. The University is striving to expand opportunities for undergraduates to participate in EEOs and to make them accessible to all undergraduates regardless of their financial capacity.

Did you know that often you could get your internship to count for credit by writing an exploratory paper? This is a great way to further deep dive into an aspect of the experience that interested you and to consolidate your learning with the help of a professor-advisor.

Joining one of ��’s many clubs is a good way to (informally) take advantage of the university’s opportunities and to learn by doing.

Many clubs on campus are affiliated to the SSMU or to a faculty. You can find them by attending activities night or by checking out our student societies' websites.

There are a range of extracurricular activities that you can do outside of classes and still learn a lot from: they range from volunteering to case competitions!

Experiential learning (EL) classes have a more hands on approach: you learn by doing or by interacting with the community and reflecting on your experiences. EL classes can range greatly from those that have mini-experiential projects, like community engagement day, to those were you spend most of your time in the field (like a field experience or a study away): all for credit!
