 utive Director of the Asian American Writers' Workshop in New York City. M
 aria Hwang (East Asian Studies\, Institute for Gender\, Sexuality\, and Fe
 minist Studies) and Jeremy Tai (History and Classical Studies) will lead a
  discussion of Chin's career\, exploring diasporic identity\, creative wor
 k\, and social justice activism.\n\nThe event is part of Chin's Building B
 ridges book tour for his recent memoir Everything I Learned\, I Learned in
  a Chinese Restaurant (2023) about growing up Asian American in Detroit an
 d coming out to his working-class immigrant family. We will hold an advanc
 ed screening of his latest film Warren King: King of Cardboard as well.\n
