Wi-Fi network: Action required to renew certificates for Windows, iOS and MacOS devices

On the morning of Thursday, April 2nd, IT Services will renew the security certificate that secures authentication to 海角社区's wpa.mcgill.ca, eduroam, cusm-muhc.mcgill.ca, and wpa.bus.mcgill.ca Wi-Fi networks.
This certificate allows you to sign on to the Wi-Fi network securely.
Some Android and Windows devices, as well as all iOS/MacOS devices will display a message prompting users to accept the new certificate.
If you receive that message, please follow the instructions below:
Windows :
- When prompted to Continue connecting, verify the certificate by clicking Show certificate details and checking that the certificate is 鈥淚ssued to: wireless-login.mcgill.ca鈥� and that it is 鈥淚ssued by: Thawte TLS RSA CA G1鈥�.
- Once you have verified this information, tap on Connect to securely connect to the Wi-Fi network.
iOS :
- Click More Details and verify that the Issuer is 鈥�DigiCert Inc鈥� and the Valid Period is: 鈥�2026-03-26 to 2026-10-11鈥�
- Once you have verified the information, tap on Certificate to go back and select Trust to access the Wi-Fi network.
MacOS :
- When prompted to Verify Certificate, select Show Certificate to ensure that the certificate was issued by 鈥�DigiCert Global Root G2鈥� and 鈥�Thawte TLS RSA CA G1鈥� and that the expiry date is 鈥�Sunday, October 11, 2026鈥�.
- Once you have verified the information, accept the certificate by selecting Continue to access the Wi-Fi network.
Android :
- Before connecting, verify that the certificate is wireless-login.mcgill.ca and that it was issued by 鈥�DigiCert Global Root G2鈥� and 鈥�Thawte TLS RSA CA G1鈥� with the expiry date October 11, 2026.
