Title: Derivation of Wave Kinetic Equations in 1D.

础产蝉迟谤补肠迟:听

Wave kinetic equations describe the effective behavior of dispersive systems in an appropriate large box limit, called the kinetic limit. Such equations have been derived in dimension at least 2 up to or beyond the kinetic timescale. In this talk, we address the question of deriving wave kinetic equations in dimension one. Just as with higher dimensional systems, we may approach the derivation by expanding the solution into iterates, represented by Feynman diagrams. However, bounding these diagrams in dimension one proves significantly more difficult than in higher dimensions. Here, we focus on the derivation of the kinetic equation for the 1D MMT (Majda, McLaughlin, and Tabak) system, deriving it for subcritical timescales, and address similar progress for other one-dimensional systems.
