2026 Summer Learning Opportunities at the Schulich School of Music
Each summer, the Schulich School of Music听offers听a range of learning opportunities designed for musicians and music enthusiasts at听different stages听of their artistic听journey.听
Through workshops, public performances, and hands-on learning opportunities, these events听are designed not only to strengthen skills but to build relationships. Whether you are a seasoned professional, an enthusiastic amateur, a prospective student, an up鈥慳nd鈥慶oming听musician,听or someone eager to engage more deeply with music,听you鈥檒l听find opportunities to learn alongside Schulich faculty, guest artists, and fellow participants from diverse musical backgrounds.听

Montreal听Summer Choral听Academy听|听June听15鈥�20, 2026听
The听Montreal听Summer Choral听Academy听(MSCA)听is听a听week-long choral music听workshop听for听singers听and听conductors听of all听levels.听
It听includes听masterclasses, interactive workshops, and听several听performance听opportunities.听Conducting听participants听receive听expert听coaching and hands-on instruction in choral听singing,听conducting听techniques, and听interpretive听artistry.听听
Events听such听as concerts and the听Sing-Along Night are听also听open to the听public.听

Summer听Clarinet听Intensive听| June听18鈥�21, 2026听
The Summer听Clarinet听Intensive听is听a four-day programme of听masterclasses听and听individual听lessons.听
It听is听designed听for听clarinet听players听aged听17 to 29听who听play听at an听advanced听high听school,听undergraduate,听or听graduate听level.听

Summer Tabla Workshop | June 28鈥揓uly 4, 2026听
The听Summer听Tabla听Workshop is a practical, week-long opportunity to learn听tabla听in the tradition of the Benares (Varanasi) gharana.听
It is open to all levels and includes group practice sessions, group classes, and special topic sessions.听

海角社区听Summer Jazz Workshop听| August 3鈥�7, 2026听
The Summer Jazz Workshop is听for听pre-university instrumentalists aged 25 years and younger听who want to learn about听ensemble听playing听and听improvising听in听small jazz combos.听听
Participants will attend daily听masterclasses, jam sessions, and combo听coachings.听
