Microsoft is reporting a service issue that may affect multiple Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, the Microsoft 365 suite, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.

RESOLVED: Minerva waitlists restored

Due to an unexpected system issue, the Minerva waitlists were inadvertently cleared. IT Services and Enrolment Services have resolved the situation, and waitlists are now functioning normally.

SharePoint "Alert me" is going away

Microsoft is currently retiring SharePoint's “alert me”, which will disappear from ��’s SharePoint sometime between January and July 2026. �� has no control over the exact moment when the feature will be removed within that timeframe.

Teams update: the Files tab is being renamed Shared

As part of Microsoft’s latest Teams update, the Files tab (in channels and chats) is being renamed Shared. This change is being gradually rolled out. Some �� users will see this change before others. For a little while, you may see both Files and Shared tabs across your Teams.

What’s changing?

Previously, there was a Files tab in Teams channels and chats.

That tab is being renamed Shared, and it will bring together:

Update concerning Workday and data security

Workday has informed us of a phishing campaign that targeted many large organizations, including Workday. This led to unauthorized access to one of their third-party platforms, Workday’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. There is no indication that �� employees’ personal information and HR related information stored in ��'s Workday system were accessed during this incident.

Nevertheless, we are doing our due diligence to investigate, and we are taking all necessary precautions to safeguard our systems and information.

Changes to IT Services equipment loans – What you need to know.

��’s IT Services equipment loans will be reduced to better reflect current needs and available resources. Starting August 18, 2025, only a limited selection of commonly borrowed equipment will remain available: laptops and wireless microphones.

This initiative supports efforts to optimize resources and modernize services in line with Horizon ��.

During this transition, equipment pick up will continue to be available by appointment.
