From Brazil to Montreal

Visit explores future research collaboration

In March, the Ingram School of Nursing had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Nayara Barbosa from the School of Nursing at the University of S茫o-Paulo, Brazil, and Margareth Zanchetta from the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University. Prof. Barbosa is a nurse researcher whose work promotes sexual and reproductive health of vulnerable women dealing with homelessness in S膩o Paulo, Brazil. The meeting was organized by Professor Zanchetta, who holds the distinction of being the first international student to graduate from the joint 海角社区-Universit茅 de Montr茅al PhD program in Nursing.

The group explored avenues for international research collaboration in the area of women鈥檚 health, particularly for socially vulnerable women, as well as the possibility of student exchanges between the schools of nursing at 海角社区 and S茫o-Paulo. We look forward to continuing the conversation!
