Nathalie Duchesnay

Nathalie Duchesnay is the Faculty Lecturer and Instructor for the Policy Lab at the Max Bell School of Public Policy. With over 30 years of experience advising governments, Crown corporations, and private sector organizations on strategy, governance, and institutional transformation, she brings a distinctive practitioner lens to graduate policy education.

Since 2018, Duchesnay has designed and led the Policy Lab, the MPP program's 9-credit capstone course, building it from the ground up across seven cohorts. The Policy Lab partners student teams with real policy clients including federal departments, the World Bank, the Bank of Canada, the United Nations Development Programme and other world class organizations to address live policy challenges. The program has produced over 40 published policy briefs on issues ranging from housing and homelessness to digital privacy, antimicrobial resistance, and national security, and has generated significant institutional partnerships for the School.

Duchesnay also teaches Strategies in Mergers and Acquisitions in the MBA program at the Desautels Faculty of Management, a course she created and has taught for over ten years. She is President of NextStep Services, her strategic advisory practice, and is bilingual in English and French.听
