Nomination Process

Nominations for theÌý2026ÌýVP-Dean's Ovation AwardsÌýwill open in mid-April 2026.Ìý

STEP 1: The nominator ensures the nominee meets the eligibility criteria

STEP 2: The nominator gathers the following required information before filling out the nomination webform


Information about the Nominee:


Information from the Nominator:

  • Full name, e-mail address, affiliated school/department/unit
  • Supporting explanation (maximum 4000 characters, which is approximately 1 page):
    • Why the nominatorÌýbelieves the nominee should receive the Ovation Award
    • Specific examples of how the nominee demonstrated the following criteria (select those that are applicable): quality of work, initiative, creative problem solving, dedication and caring, service excellence and innovation during the last reference period (January 1 - December 31, 2025), and how they benefited the team, the FacultyÌýand the University. 


Information from One (1) Supporter:

  • Full name, e-mail address, affiliated school/department/unit, relationship to nominee
  • Supporting explanation (maximum 4000 characters, which is approximately 1 page):
    • Why the supporterÌýbelieves the nominee shouldÌýreceive the Ovation AwardÌý
    • Specific examples ofÌýhow the nominee demonstrated the following criteria (select those that are applicable): quality of work, initiative, creative problem solving, dedication and caring, service excellence and innovation during the last reference period (January 1 - December 31, 2025), and how they benefited the team, the Faculty and the University. 
  • Optional: The nominator can use the PDF icon Information of Supporter - Ovation Awards 2026Ìýto complete the "Supporter" section of the nomination webform.Ìý
  • Note: The nominator and the supporter must be two different people.

STEP 3: The nominator completes and submits the

  • The webform willÌýautomatically save your responses. You may close the form and resume it at a later timeÌýusing the same link.

NEXT STEPS:

  • The selection committee will review the submissions and inform all award recipients and nominees.
  • An announcement of the award winners will be published in September on .
  • The annual Ovation Awards Ceremony will be held in late Fall to celebrate the award recipients and nominees!
