The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul听Events
Thurs April 2, 6-7 PM:听 Light fades through magnificent stained glass windows; our candle-lit Communion table at the foot of the chancel steps; the rite of Communion and the centuries old custom of reading the Passion of our Lord in the four Gospels on this day; a candle extinguished at each reading; appropriate chorales from the gallery. As the last candle extinguished, we pause in darkness until the Christ candle is lit 鈥� the promise of Easter. In silence we leave the darkened sanctuary.

Fri, April 3, 7:30 PM:听 Experience one of the greatest choral masterpieces ever written this Good Friday. The Choir of The Church of St Andrew and St Paul and Ensemble Caprice present Bach鈥檚 moving St. John Passion, led by conductor L茅a Moisan-Perrier, with Haitham Haidar in the role of evangelist, Nathaniel Watson as Jesus, and soloists from The A&P Choir. Suggested donation $40 at the door; no tickets or advance reservation required
Sat April 4, 12-3 PM:听On Holy Saturday, April 4th, YAM will host a walk up the mountain, leaving the church at 12:30 p.m. As we walk, we will pause along the way to read the psalms of ascent (Psalms 120-134). If you would like to participate, but think you might not be up to all that climbing, you may join the group starting at the Smith House at 2:00 p.m. and walk with us up to the cross. Sun April 5, 8:00 AM: Join us for a special early morning Easter Sunday SONrise Service at 8:00 a.m. where our Youth Group & Church School children will present the story of Easter. Led by the A&P Youth Group and followed by breakfast in Kildonan Hall.
Sun April 5. 11:00 AM: 听Please join us on Easter Sunday at 11:00 a.m. as we rejoice in receiving God鈥檚 gift of new life through Christ鈥檚 Resurrection. We do this by revisiting the empty tomb and celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion accompanied by full choir and a brass ensemble.
