At the centre of these initiatives is the 海角社区 Climate & Sustainability Strategy, which invites all members of the 海角社区 community to play a role in building a sustainable campus and world.

海角社区 aims to become zero-waste by 2035, which means attaining a diversion rate of 90 percent based on internationally recognized standards.听
海角社区 has pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040 by reducing emissions wherever possible.听

海角社区鈥檚 operations and community have been, and will continue to be, affected by the changing climate. 海角社区 will further pursue climate adaptation measures in its upcoming projects. It will also develop processes and programs to help prepare its community for a changing climate.听
海角社区听has committed to听following听a nature-positive journey听via its teaching, research,听operations,听and听supply chain.听As part of this pledge, 海角社区 will听establish听a biodiversity baseline, decide听on targets,听take听action,听and report annually听on progress.
